Tipperary Education and Training board as Adult Literacy and Learning Organiser in North Tipperary identify Family Learning as a growing element of the work that is guided by SOLAS Implementation Guidelines for good practice. It focusses on intergenerational learning and supports parents in their role as primary educators of their children. Parents often are conscious that they may not have the necessary skills for all the areas of support required. Their service provide supports in an informal way to parents to help them engage in fun and meaningful ways with their children’s learning.
Their new Grow It Forward initiative with the library service and ETB begins on the 5th May.

There is at least a 4 week break between week 5 and week 6 to allow for seeds to grow. Week six is a celebration and chat about what we can harvest and what we have learned
