Hello from our Autumn School Garden! 🍂
First and foremost, we would like to say a big thank you to all summer volunteers for their incredible care of our lovely chickens, Princess Lay-a and Rosie and for keeping our polytunnel well-watered throughout the summer months. Your time and energy have not gone unnoticed, and we are immensely thankful for your support🙏
September was a busy month. We rolled up our sleeves and got rid of some of the weeds in our polytunnel. We harvested lots of potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers. We are looking forward to making some delicious meals with them 🥔🥕🥒
Múinteoir Helen’s and Múinteoir Tomas’ classes have been doing a great job, watering veggies, and caring for the chickens every day💦
Looking forward, we are excited about our front garden project. We will be planting a selection of spring bulbs. We can’t wait to see them bloom in the spring. We will also be working on our bug hotel project and are in need of materials to fill it, including bamboo, used plastic bottles/tins, straw, toilet roll tubes, broken bricks, tiles, or plant pots. If you have any of these items to spare, your donations would be highly valued and greatly appreciated 🐛🐜
